Positive section of review
We decided to cancel 3 of the 4 nights booked as we did not like the area of the hotel. Because we booked through Booking.com, the hotel staff could not change the booking so we phoned booking.com direct. After 30+ minutes we got to speak to someone who, together with the hotel staff, managed to change our booking to 1 night instead of 4 and arranged the refund.

The car park we were expected to use during our stay is a piece of open waste land approx. 100M away, across a main road. The area looks rundown and lots of graffiti on empty premises. The hotel itself looks great on line but is not as clean in real life.

I was traveling by bicycle after request they where able to store my bicycle. Despite other reviews and a current event in the city I wasn't bothered by loud sounds or music. That could be due to the location in the building where the apartment was that I booked (second floor rear side).

Furniture and interior was dated. But that's more a case of expectations than that it really bothered me. Everything was clean and in good condition. The related cafe wasn't open before 12 am. But since the location is in the city center there are enough places around to have breakfast.

Stunning location. The close proximity to two tube station getting to three tubelines. Very good cleaning of the hotel with new water bottles, biscuits, the and coffee every day

No wardrobe or habges in the room, so no possibility to hung up wet clothes apart from the wardrobe

The water didn’t run smoothly from the taps at hand basins. Had to turn the taps half way round which by that time it had too much pressure. Had to cover the blue light showing the time on the TV over at night time.

Shower did not work for two nights. Breakfast was for a very short period - start at 8:00am - most hotels we've been in start often before 7:30 (or even 7:00). Asked for scrambled eggs on toast with bacon. What arrived one time was small amount of scrambled egg (maybe 1 egg worth) with one small rasher of bacon; and the toast dumped on top!!
