We loved this place, very well put together and the room was great, clean, freah and modern. We loved the enclosed garden with a very well equiped kitchen. Brakfast was great as where our hosts Diane and Lucas, very friendly couple and great to chat with. We where there for Wheels & Waves and rode over on 2 motorcycles and parking was perfect. The guest house is a short walk to the beach and although we didnt use it there is a bus stop just around the corner. Overall, perfect for our 4 day stay.

Tebay ia a lovely little village and the pub was excellent. The chalets are very comfortable with a view of the hills. We enjoyed our food, peri peri chicken, steak, haddock and roast dinner. The bar was friendly and we enjoyed watching the football in there. There is a space to park right by the chalet so it's very easy to unload. My husband also loved "Dave's Shed"!

There was a plumbing problem with our toilet which was very noisy during the night. This was rectified the next day.

Staff were friendly, helpful and polite. Hotel is in an excellent position for the town and the Cathedral.

A coach party staying at the hotel, had caused some significant delays concerning meal preparation. We found we could not have breakfast until 0915 am due to seating and serving constraints. The same was for the evening meal where we also had to wait some 30 mins after ordering. I must point out that the staff were very apologetic and gave us free drinks and thanked us for waiting.

No lift. Bath, toilet and sink old and stained. Room at top of very winding stairs. Generally the whole hotel interior looks dated and tired. Beds resemble those of a dormitory with no headboard. We booked late arrival which was acknowledged. We went out to try and get some food and when we returned we could not get into the hotel. We thought we had been locked out but after 20 minutes of ringing the doorbell and banging on the door a man came out and said that the door was stiff, not locked. Myself and my husband repeatedly tried the door! We were told that the doorbell doesn’t work! Clearly the night porter has a hearing problem as knocking the door did not alert him for some time. We had been looking forward to breakfast as the website gave good reviews. Sadly after noticing a couple of creepy crawlers in one of the beds we decided to leave immediately having not even used the shower! If we had not been so exhausted from travelling and had noticed the bugs earlier we would not have stayed there at all! We visited friends and used their facilities before travelling on. Perhaps a visit from a member of the Booking.com team to review the hotel would help to give a more accurate rating and perhaps remove it from the booking site.

Didn’t pre-send check-in details - had phone repeatedly while standing outside the property. No complimentary tea/coffee, no pots & pans in kitchen. TV smashed & not working, no iron, even though all these were in list of facilities
