Positive section of review
From the outside one gets a little concerned about what one is getting for quite a high price, as you do feel that you’re in view of and “on top of” the main house. But inside, it is very tastefully and creatively furnished/decorated with quality furnishings. If is also cosy enough for us to not need a heater. The garden is beautiful and one can see that it is currently being artistically landscaped to make it more private and to block the view of the outside fence / bins. The owners have reacted pro-actively to previous reviews and there is now a lovely full length mirror and more than sufficient heating, if required.

It is a small room, although the space available has been utilised efficiently. There is no TV/monitor to plug in a laptop to stream, but that is mentioned just in case that’s important to you. For the price and type of accommodation, we’d have expected a slightly more self catering option with a tiny fridge and tiny microwave, but space constraints are probably the problem with adding these features. Just for others know, there are no cupboards or space specifically set aside for luggage, but for us, it wasn’t a major issue. The bed and duvet is very comfortable. We do feel that for 99 Pounds it is very over priced, but in fairness to the hosts, it is hard work to keep everything clean and tidy every day of the week. Our suggestion would be to bring the price down significantly and request a minimum of a 2 night stay?

Very handy location for airport, with Horley just one train station away from Harwich itself. Very pleasant room. When it immediately turned out there was a problem with the plumbing on our room on arrival, they did their best to get it fixed (not much hope at it was past 8pm at this point!) - when it couldn't be sorted they did offer us a free lift to the airport in the morning which was appreciated. Very friendly service from Ahmed.

Plumbing problem in room meant we had to go to a different floor to use the toilet - although we were quite happy with how this was dealt with we were surprised not to be offered perhaps a partial refund. Also the shower in the room, which was working, wasn't brilliant. The quality of the breakfast wasn't amazing but it was handy to be able to have some toast / cereal before heading to the airport.

A beautiful location, very quite and rural. The room was full of charm and character . Very warm, clean with large comfortable bed and lovely furniture. Great bathroom with jacuzzi bath and shower. The hosts are very friendly - nothing is too much trouble. Lovely touch to arrive to homemade cake - delicious!!

Perfect location in Padstow with parking just across the road (paying). The service, comfort of the room (bed, pillows, toiletry products) were great and the team were brilliant, really friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.

This is a big call out from me, but I knew what to expect (18th C property so steep stairs) and I couldn't fault it.

We had booked a twin room for my sister and myself but we had a double bed. I am sure if I had mentioned it at the time they may have changed the room but they were very busy. My only real complaint from the room is that the shower is almost impossible to work - hot, cold or dribble!

A manual would be useful, with instructions about the heating ( which kept turning on ), how to work the television etc. Broken dining chair which one of our party almost fell off ( and which was known to the management ). No bathroom hand towel or kitchen tea towel ( minor issues ).
