  Big clean rooms. Beds comfortable and clean. Lovely shower and clean towels. Water, tea and coffee in the room. Asked for a quiet room and was given room 12 on the ground floor at the back, it was perfect. My son has Autism and they were happy to arrange this room for us. They allowed up to see the breakfast room so he knew what to expect. Good choice of continental breakfast, cereals, toast, crumpets, croissant, waffles, pancake, cheese and ham, yogurts, fresh juice and coffee.

  Parking was tight, but we got a spot on the road outside Bit of noise from other guests, but that's not the fault of the hotel

  I liked the location, it was nice and quiet with good parking. The room was nice and large with a king sized bed. The restaurant was in the historical part of the house. The food was lovely and well prepared. We didn't have breakfast.

  The choice of gins in the bar was disappointing as I chose my gin from their menu and twice they didn't have the gins I wanted. They said their delivery was due the next day and the beer lorry was there when we left. The room was quite a long walk from the reception.

  Excellent location on the banks of Lake Windermere with loving views from the dining room and lounge areas. Close to a good selection of bars and cafes and walking distance to the jetty for boat trips.

  Hotel is looking very tired and dated. Car park requires use of a key fob which you don’t keep for the duration of your stay but have to hand back.
