  It was obvious that some upgrading had occurred, but the rooms were still very basic and small. We struggled to fit in two cases. We had dinner in the restaurant one night and it was exceptional. The serves were huge and flavoursome. It was certainly quiet overnight.

  The curtains jammed in the track, so once we closed them the night we arrived we could not open them for the duration of the stay. The room was very stuffy and although we could open the windows at night for some air, as we were on the ground floor the windows couldn't be left open during the day as we were out. The room faced west and heated up late in the day when the sun was setting. It also rained a bit so the windows could not be left open. A little fan would have been helpful to move the air. The bathroom was very small and there was nowhere to put toiletries. It would have been helpful to have more than one roll (not sure it was even a full roll) of toilet paper for two people for a two night stay. As there was no housekeeping during our stay we had to chase up the bar staff for another roll whilst they were busy with dinner service. Not really satisfactory.
