Really welcoming and very well appointed B&B. A washing machine and a small kitchen were available to use - a brilliant idea. Easy to find with ample parking. Our room was a good size and very recently redecorated. The lounge was big and friendly with board games, books and a TV. The breakfasts were good and set us up for a days cycling very well. Dumfries is only about ten minutes drive away and there are lots of places to eat and supermarkets to buy food. We had a puncture from a huge nail, but Ewan spotted it and lent us his pump so we could make our way to the tyre shop - a very nice gesture and typical of the man.

Nothing really - I can't blame a puncture on anything other than bad luck!

Large room with air conditioning. The curtains were a good blackout. Staff were friendly. The breakfast had a good choice and was better than I expected. Location near A5 road was good for the journey home to Suffolk.

I was not too keen on the bath with a shower attachment and curtain, but otherwise good.

Nothing can make up for the fact that you would be trapped in the room of there was a fire.

I was assigned a room at the top of the house. The room was very dark and hot. It felt claustrophobic to enter. There were two skylights very high up, and I needed a pole to open them. No one would be able to escape through the windows if there was a fire. Near the room, there was a small fire extinguisher, but it wouldn’t help much in case of a real fire. There was no fire escape. The stairs down from the attic room were very narrow and would probably act like a chimney if there was a fire. To exit the room, you had to go down this long, narrow carpeted staircase. Only on the ground floor was there an emergency exit. But that wouldn’t help if you were trapped in the room during a fire. I couldn’t sleep. It was clearly a fire hazard, and that’s why I wouldn’t stay there again.

Staff working there professional and listens to my request. Thank you.

It is a bit old and its design is depressive.

Dirty poor state of repair smelly unable to shower as when attempted the flat downstairs had water running through the light. The occupier came with video to show saying that the owner of the accommodation knew there was an issue. So coukd not shower

A drink in the brewery

Placed in an attic room with restricted headroom which no way matched the room advertised. The shower cubicle had extensive mould around the shower base together with a heavily corroded door mechanism and broken flush mechanism on the toilet.
