Positive section of review
If you come here with reasonable expectations, especially given compared to what you are actually paying, you will not be dissatisfied. Are the rooms adorable and extremely clean and comfy? Not quite, but they're just enough for what you are paying. We were always greeted with a smile in the reception and had zero issues what so ever. We actually enjoyed the area as well with its walking distance to good pubs and restaurants. Being able to buy an amazing lamb kebab from the guys 2 mins up the street late at night was a welcome bonus.

- The location is phenomenal, sea all around for miles, the best view we have ever woken up to. - The room was scrupulously clean and well-equipped for the most part. - Very nice staff. - Free parking and plenty of it. - Breakfast was plentiful.

- The restaurant is open all day for food, providing for both residents and day visitors, which means it closes, not unreasonably for the staff, at 8pm. Considering there are food outlets providing pasties, sandwiches, ice cream etc all around the site during the day, it could easily close between breakfast and dinner and then stay open till 9.00. This would make it so much better for various reasons: firstly, because the desserts ran out way before the end of serving at 8.00, as there was only a finite number made and they had mostly all gone by 7.00; secondly, closing at 8.00 meant that a day out had to be rushed to get back in time for an early dinner, eg 6.15, since by 6.45, the restaurant was rammed and the staff were struggling to keep up with orders. We booked for 6.45 the first evening and waited endlessly for the very busy staff to handle an order for 2 mains only. Hats off to Kyah who really did seem to know what she was doing. The 2nd evening was even worse, as we couldn't get back until a 7.15 booking. That evening was chaotic in the extreme. Also, apparently, the wine list hadn't been updated recently and so the choices were not all as stated and were very limited. In addition, there was no facility to add a tip to the credit card bill, and since nobody carries cash any longer, we were unable to tip Kyah on the 1st evening. - There is some lack of detail associated with the staff in the restaurant, because when we came to check out, I was told we owed £73 from the restaurant the evening before. As I'd paid the bill in the restaurant, this was surprising, but the girl on reception said that the tab had probably not been signed off in the restaurant. I am hoping this is because they were overworked and understaffed, but it's not a great look.

The bathroom was not great at all. Taking a shower would flood the entire room because the shower curtain was insufficient, and the overall layout of the bathroom was awkward.
