Beautiful little place with lovely views, a really nice pub a short walk away and not far for Oulton Park. Kitchenette that had everything I needed to prepare food to take to the track, there was even an air fryer although I didn't use it.

Hotel is located on main street near all the shops and restaurants. Room was large, spatious and cosy. Bed was super comfortable! There was a lot of place and bathroom was huge - with bath AND shower.

The hotel is also cabaret, so the way to the room was a bit interesting. There were posters and rules of club, but there was not any problems and no noise.

Staff reluctant to serve us hot drinks at 10.40 saying the bar is due to close at 11. Didn't make us feel welcome. The bar should remain open for residents.

Alot of work going on in and around the hotel, which was not mentioned on the website, or by the staff on arrival. Drilling all afternoon and started again early in the morning, went down to breakfast and came back to the room to drilling above our room, the time we packed to leave, we could not hear each other or the TV the drilling was that loud. The room was hot though the night with no controlled air conditioning and the beds were uncomfortable.

Lack of maintenance is evident everywhere, the sofa bed provided was like sleeping over metal coins, useless. The Gym and Swimming pool are third part administrated and paid for to be used. On Sunday it opens at 10 am, again useless. Bathroom in my room was in a shame condition.

Booked a family room, which was a good size, but no hair dryer and hot water in shower not working. So had to switch rooms to a smaller double. Dry small space, no hairdryer, the cold water tap was not working so only hot water available in the tap! Very noisy re bar downstairs!! Can hear everything from the street. Friendly staff though, but will not recommend
