The decor was place in general was finished to a high standard. The living room was beautifully decorated. The host ensured that the place was cosy upon our arrival and we had everything we needed.

The housekeepers were really friendly and helpful and were somewhat embarrassed having to deal with issues raised.

The website completely misrepresented what was on offer. We were only informed the pub was closed after we had paid and the day before we travelled. No WIFI available as specified on booking confirmation. Informed on arrival this had been switched off as owners were apparently in the process of disposing of this property. Both of these were important factors when choosing to stay here. The room was devoid of furniture. Key to door was frustratingly dysfunctional , apparently owners were aware but had not fixed it. We contacted the owners on return via email but they have not had the courtesy to even reply.

Food and facilities were good and staff were friendly. Location isn’t great but that can’t be helped.

Booked 2 rooms for three nights, booked the restaurant for 2 nights and booked the spa. Was told I could cancel if needed as I had booked in advance. Whilst out for the day I got caught in the holiday traffic, called the hotel to advise I would not make my spa time, hotel said ok but they would charge me for the booking and simply told it was policy. This was not what was told to me when booking. Given the amount of money I spent on rooms and food and drinks at the hotel I was really disappointed - it was simple your word against own and we are charging you… greed spoilt the holiday weekend - as nice as it was I would not go back or recommend. I’m not sure the hotel would really care to be honest.

Lovely clean rooms, close to the cable cars and DLR. The staff were attentive.

We had a room at the back of the hotel and the building work behind was quite noisy. The breakfast was good but will be much better again when the restaurant is re opened.

The room looked to be well presented when we first arrived. However the smell in the bathroom was vile, had to put boiling water down the plug and toilet to try help the smell. Dropped something in the floor that went under the bed, bent down to get it, found dog biscuits, hair dust and other bits. Tried to have a bath which was in the bedroom but as that was running we could see water coming out from underneath it. Not sound proof at all

Very dirty, hot tub was a biohazard and my girlfriend cut her leg quite badly on nails that were sticking out of the bench in the sauna
