Cute little place, very relaxing and felt safe enough to let the kids have a bit of freedom whilst we chilled. (Swimming, volley ball and crazy gold a hit) Quick response from host with any questions we had!

Fire alarm went off in a few of the lodges for a test (ours being one of them- v noisy but quickly resolved.) and we got stuck in the car park by a lorry for 10 minutes who was collecting rubble just as we were leaving but neither of these issues were down to the owner so not a complaint for them!

Lovely room with nice shower and comfortable bed. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits aplenty. Excellent breakfast, great choices. Restaurant class evening dining and great beers!

Location is great and the rooms were very spacious. Decor and freebies felt very intentional. Overall we would stay again.

The springs in the bed mattress were clearly felt. The beds would definitely benefit from a thicker top mattress. The door handle online opening also did not work, we had to use the code and the handle felt very loose. Further, it was not clear that the room would be inaccessible. For us it did not matter but for wheelchair users it might be a bust.

Staff we're very welcoming and friendly. Also had a kettle and enough tea/coffee for a couple of brews.

The deluxe room was just a room with a private toilet and bed. To me it seemed more like a basic b&b room. Also the bed was extremely squeaky so it was very difficult to sleep.

Maybe not hotel issues but booking.com mentioned that the hotel was only 1.3 miles from the city but in actual fact it was more than 5 miles and took 40 minutes by bus to get into the city
