      Amazing location. The beds were so comfy and the kitchen had everything that you would need. Good sized TVs in the living room and in both bedrooms. We needed a travel cot and unlike the usual small ones with thin mattresses, the one that we were provided with was a great size with an amazing fitted mattress that was thick and perfect for my little one.

      We had a wonderful stay. Staff were lovely (Ashika was super helpful with travel tips into Oxford and just a generally good host). Everyone in reception and the restaurant were fab. The food in the restaurant was incredible - faultless. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Would (and will) return in a heartbeat.

      The bar staff were a little less 'on it'. For example, my partner ordered two martinis and then had to wait ages for them and carry them the length of the bar/hall herself. It would've been nice if they'd brought them over. Bar food not the same standard as the restaurant but I guess that is to be expected. Still good just not 'wow'.

      Loved the incredibly welcoming staff, and my room was spacious, bright and clean. I thought the food - I had dinner and breakfast there - was good too.

      Location was good for us as it was only a 2 minute walk from Paddington station so saved on taxi fares.

      We booked this hotel in December 23 for a 2 night stay in May 24. We arrived at the hotel only to be told that our room was undergoing maintenance and they did not have another room so rather than giving us a choice, they told us we were being moved to their sister hotel. We asked for a refund but they were reluctant to do so claiming that the other hotel was a new 5* hotel in the vicinity. As we were tied for time we agreed and to compensate us they said they would refund 20% to our Booking.com account, which so far we have not received. Their sister hotel, The Inhabit, turned our to be a vegetarian hotel and championed sustainability but this was clearly an excuse not to clean the hotel as our room was dusty and the bathroom dirty. I had to clean the sink before we used it. We were put in a lower ground room where the window was painted white and locked so no natural light. The air con did not work and there was no safe or fridge. We were given a complimentary breakfast which only included eggs, toast, tea or coffee. Our room was below the restaurant/reception and the early morning noise woke us up. I know this review in primarily for the Inhabit hotel but hopefully if the same happens to you, hopefully this will help you come to a decision regarding what to do if you are told you have to move hotels. Had we have been communicated with earlier, the outcome of our weekend away would have been quite different. I will never use either of these hotels again.
