The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.
2
When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

The location was excellent - it was peaceful after hectic sightseeing in London. We had a great view of the bridge. Loved that the Tower of London was nearby. Good size room. On the weekend there was a dj and outdoor bar infront of the hotel. There’s a lovely wharf just to the side of the hotel. Loved the ambience. Would definitely stay there again. I have to make special mention of Veronica - she greeted us with a big smile in the mornings was and went out of her way to ensure our room was comfortable.

Nice flat, fairly new, seems to be a social housing, nice balcony, lift for luggages. Flat is well decorated & clean, bed is large for 2 regular people. Access is bit far from the Angel Metro station but the bus drops you nearby. No security issue at night. Scafoldings in front of the building which prevent seeing outside, but the balcony is accessible & clean.

Unacceptable : I did not manage to get into the flat as the keys were missing the fob to access the building. The emergency codes provided in the message did not work. The flatowner did not answer to my numerous messages, both by phone & mail. The shopowner delivering the keys directed me to the support of the keys delivery system : 2x15min waiting on the phone and no answer. Finally she helped me and we got the support on. Thanks to the cleaner who was there, I finally accessed the flat and got a working pair of keys. This system for delivering the keys is not working properly.

The apartment was in a great location being a 5 minute walk to the strip of shops, restaurants and public transport making it very convenient. Upon checking in there were a few goodies as a welcome gift, including milk. Always appreciated. Communication with Sophie (property manager) was prompt via WhatsApp and also appreciated especially over a long weekend.

We have not stayed in a basement apartment before and due to the heavy footsteps from the tenant in the apartment above during the day and night, we probably won't again. If stairs are an issue for you (not us) going down the stairs to the basement apartment may be a problem. TV did not work but Sophie promptly organised a technician to fix the issue but unfortunately he could not fix the streaming service which also was not working. Another technician came in the afternoon of that same day to fix that issue. For our inconvenience we received some more goodies. There is a booklet explaining how items in the apartment function/ how to operate appliances but in some instances not clear or correct. This has been pointed out to Sophie who was going to update this document for future tenants.

Nice hotel, clean, rooms are large, bed is comfortable and large. Reception desk very polite and available 244/7.

No breakfast served. Reception desk women wear islamic veil which I feel offended by, I would prefer a neutral personel.

Nice room, and very convenient for the NEC. The breakfast was nice.

The price! Over £400 for a night. This is a 5 star sort of price and it just isn't a 5 star hotel in all aspects from the services, the quality of the room, the communal areas - none of it reflects the price you pay. The price is bumped up massively when there are events on at the NEC, but at this price I expected a lot more for my money. Cheaper to stay in Birmingham centre in an actual 5 star hotel and travel in by train instead.

Extremely narrow and steep staircase, a convector heater too close to the end of the double bed, shower controls broken. The picture of the bed in the picture bears no resemblance to the bed we had. It could only be accessed from one side. Staff not available on arrival. We had to call a mobile number twice to gain access.
