The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

The room was comfortable and clean. It was a lovely touch to see a little welcome gift of Prosecco wine in the room. The breakfast was good, there was a wide choice. I'm not usually a breakfast person but I did enjoy the English breakfast. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The location is excellent as you are right in the heart of everything from Museums, tourist attractions, and shops with pleanty of places to eat.

There was nothing I didn't like, everything was good and I am looking forward to returning hopefully very soon.

Historic university halls building. Rooms are sparse but functional, with clean well maintained bathroom shower facilities down the corridor. Included breakfast was an absolute bonus with full options across cooked, porridge, cereals, pastries and toasts etc. Great value for the time of year.

The location for us was excellent. We know the area well and this apartment was central to our needs. The apartment was extremely well equipped with every need thought of. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the mill given by Jonathan. Would certainly stay there again

The only downside for us being older was the staircase to the mezzanine

I've stayed at the Dakota Manchester before, hence my re-booking of this hotel. The Dakota is stylish and modern and in a fantastic location. The rooms are large, well-furnished and comfortable, with amazing beds.

My recent stay was marred by an unwelcoming atmosphere. The concierge, in particular, came across as shirty and dismissive, almost treating us like we were an inconvenience to him, which put a damper on the entire experience. I had reserved parking but on arrival I was treated as if I shouldn't have parked my car where I had, despite it being in a vacant space (and well-parked). I had also booked a space for an overnight trickle charge, but this didn't happen due to a crane boom's hydraulics bursting and causing a mess by the chargers (it was there for window cleaning). I am absolutely NOT blaming the hotel for this as accidents happen, but there are ways you can deal with these things without being rude to guests. I knew it was blocking the chargers, so I just wanted to ask how long it would be there so when I asked when it would be possible to put the vehicle on charge, the concierge was extremely rude - as if it was obvious that I knew that there was a problem with the crane. Again, in the morning we tried to exit as bollards were being put across - I asked if we could quickly get out and he tutted - despite all bollards not yet being in place to plenty of room for us to get around (it was only later that I became aware of a side exit, but that was not known at the time). On departure there was a lack of assistance with luggage; I noted the concierge helped with another couple's on their departure, so now I'm thinking this guy's issue is personal. When staying in a hotel, you should at least be expected to feel welcome and be treated the same as other guests. If you're looking for a luxurious hotel experience with top-notch service, Dakota Manchester may not be the best choice. Consider other options in Manchester that prioritise guest comfort and a welcoming environment, such as the Stock Exchange where I recently stayed, which is comparable on price and I have to say, a much better experience from start to finish.

We had a good english breakfast and our room was large and very comfortable and clean. The hotel was geared for families but there was very little to do in the surrounding area.

Nice, clean flat. Good base for exploring the main sites of London. Close to tube station and shops etc.

The bedrooms need proper blackout blinds. Far too much artificial light comes through from the lights in the courtyard area at night time. Also, I'm not sure why there was a TV as it was not possible to watch it due to there being no wifi. After being out on our feet all day we would have liked the option of watching TV in the evening. I messaged the host asking how to get it to work, but I did not get a reply.
