On arrival the room did not have a bed for our daughter, spoke to Chelsea on reception who went out of her way to swap rooms for us and sort out a bed for our daughter, room was very good but keen ,attentive staff made it better, then in the morning Chelsea was on reception still smiling after a late /early shift well done to her.

All good in the end.

The breakfast delivered in a hamper on our door in the morning was a really nice touch and the breakfast was delicious. The beds are really comfy and the bathroom has everything you would need. The rooms feel really relaxing, a bit cosy but perfect for a weekend stay.

It was amazing, just like being at home. Great to be in a proper house when you are away from your own home. Excellent facilities, very quiet. Exceptionally clean. Secure off road parking. Elizabeth was lovely, really helpful. No complaints.

We had a great one-night stay. Staff were all lovely, the bed was super comfortable and the dinner and breakfast was really good. Everything we needed!

The food was great on both days. The staff was great the first morning but one member was ignorant the second morning.

On the second morning one member of staff was disrespectful when bringing my cooked breakfast. I hadn't finished my cereal when my cooked breakfast was brought and when I said I'd not finished she stood there till I let her put it down. She walked away and then came back and said "would you like it under the grill till you're ready". If she'd suggested that first instead of standing over me till I moved my bowl I would be fine. Her attitude makes me not want to return!

Great room, helpful staff, even an ironing board available to use. Brekkie was tasty. Fair price for it all.

Location was great for walking. Lovely welcome from a lad who worked there.
Negative section of review
We walked the CtC path and have stayed at 9 different places along the route. We thought the Greyhound was very overpriced. Our welcome was good. The lad was cheery and upbeat but that wasn't the case with the waiting staff. Our room was advertised as 'deluxe' but it was far from that. The very small en suite had a lot of mould on the shower and the woodwork was rotten. There were hairs in the basin and the room had not been serviced properly as the previous residents dirty glasses were still on the tray. It's on a busy main road so it's noisy in the room. The sash windows didn't stay open so we had to use our walking boots to wedge it open as it was so hot in the room but we couldn't alter the temperature. The roast dinner was great apart from the chewy lamb. The yorkshires, spuds and vegetables were good. Meat was poor which was a shame. Checkout was impersonal. I didn't really feel the manager (?) was bothered if we'd had a good stay or not although he did ask us in passing. All in all one of the low spots on the walk.

Apartments not suitable for families with small children. As soon as you enter the building, there are 5 steps, then you find the elevator. The reception offered to help my wife when she was alone, but unfortunately, we almost never found anyone available. I booked a room that appeared to be flat in the photos, but I was given one with stairs to the room (they justified it by saying that room assignments are random...). Explaining that it would be dangerous with a newborn, they asked for £300 to get another room. The next day, after reporting the issue to Booking, they assigned us another room (for free) but left me alone to move all the luggage. The new room smelled musty, and if you left the door open after showering (even with the fan on), the alarm would go off. A disastrous experience, ending with £100 for a late check-out until 4 pm. The bathroom in the first room was 1.80 m², and the second one was slightly over 2 m².
