Faruq was very kind and allowed us to drop our bags earlier than the check-in time, and replied promptly to my questions/request, which was very appreciated. The flat is 10 min walk to Tower Bridge, Tower Hill underground station, and has several supermarkets where to buy groceries and stuff. It's a quiet place, and I can say I did not feel unsafe, as I've read in some other comments. It was very much appreciated the small details, like the plug adaptors, the chocolates or the water that was available for us when we checked in. Netflix is also available, and that was a saver for the kids. If you do not have high standards about maintenance/cleaning, this is an ok for a one or two days.

As already mentioned by other people, cleaning was far from good. The kitchen floor is sticky, and although the cleaners had cleaned the room when we checked in, you could clearly see that area under the sofa-bed or the bed hadn't seen the vacuum cleaner in months. There were old socks and a lot of dirt/dust underneath. I'm not sure about UK standards, but I'm not used to this kind of cleaning. The furniture and the flat overall are old and in bad shape, especially the kitchen and the bed (mattress should be changed). The common area (stairs) is filthy and smelly, but that I understand is out of the owner's hands, as this is a big building and there must be a common maintenance.

Such a quaint Hotel in lovely surroundings, we arrived early due to the bucketing rain and were greeted by the host, who was very welcoming and allowed us full use of facilities until our rooms were ready. The food was excellent and my room was small but very comfortable. Loved the atmosphere here created by the host, who was also the chef, loved it.

This hotel is located just off the Royal Mile on Hunter Square; close to many shops, restaurants, pubs, and other attractions. My wife and I arrived at Waverly rail station and were able to walk with our roller bag luggage to the hotel, although it was uphill the entire way from the station.

I normally don't like to spend this much money on a hotel room. The location is nice, but I still feel like it was a bit pricey for the room.

Really amazing views, everything was prepared well and the flat had everything we needed. Host was very responsive and offered us a bottle of wine for free.

The lounge was bare apart from a very uncomfortable sofa which was supposed to be the 2nd bed. In the end we had to share the double bed which wasn’t the plan! Omg the bed was so uncomfortable! It also felt damp when we got into it. No bedside table & only 1 plug socket. The lighting was so poor I couldn’t even read my book in bed.
