Did not have breakfast. Uber driver found it difficult to locate exact address. Black London Taxi best option as they know area and specific vehicle access requirements.

Booking. Com should note car access conditions as street mainly a pedestrian mall. Uber drivers lack local knowledge.

Excellent location. 10 minute walk from the train station and the city centre, and also very quiet. Staff were friendly and helpful and the bed was comfy.

There were multiple issues during my stay: - when I arrived, I was told my room was on the top floor and there is no lift. I am currently 9 months pregnant and told the receptionist this was unacceptable but she said there was nothing she could do, so I was forced to climb 4 flights of stairs every day. - the website clearly advertises that every room has a kitchen, or at least a microwave. However, my room did not. It only had a kettle and a fridge. I spoke to the receptionist about this and showed her the wording on the website and - again - she said there was nothing she could do. - the TV didn’t work properly, only channels BBC 1 and BBC 2 worked. The others crackled and lost signal. - the sink in the bathroom didn’t drain properly and smelled strongly of sulphur. - the shower pressure was very weak. - underneath the beds, the floor was absolutely filthy. Covered in dust and hair. Near the desk there were crumbs all over the floor. The remote control was sticky and had hairs stuck onto it. - the beds were hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were thin. Being pregnant, I needed extra pillows to prop myself up. I asked at reception and - again - was told no, there was nothing she could do.

Lack of staff in bar - I stood in queue for over 20 mins waiting for my turn, the bar lady then served a couple of men who had just walked up to the bar, when I complained she just looked at me & carried on. Too many people wanting cocktails with one person servicing - need to get more staff on
