I travel to the East Mids once a month for work so the location is perfect for me as it's only a couple of minutes off the A50. This was my first stay at The Lawns and I was so impressed I have booked my stays for the rest of this year. The room was small but very comfortable and clean, plenty of tea, coffee and milk to make drinks. A bath and plenty of piping hot water to have a soak after driving from the North East. Very quiet room even though it's above a pub, I had a great nights sleep. There was a curry special night in the restaurant so I had a very tasty chicken madras and a pint for £9.99, which was definitely value for money. All of the staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was excellent. What more can I say!

Absolutely no complaints at all!

The room and grounds were stunning, a lovely little secluded area that was quiet and peaceful. A field near the back where we could walk our dog with sheep nearby. The staff were all lovely and all facilities very clean and comfortable.

The bedroom did get quite warm at night despite turning off the heating, to combat this we just kept the windows open a notch which helped massively. Couldn't hear the road so the breeze was nice.

Great location. Close enough to everything but far enough away as well. Exceptionally dog friendly and a friendly helpful team. Food was great, pub had a lovely atmosphere and the breakfast was spot on.

Noise at night (6th floor had machinery noise above us going until 3-4am, too loud to sleep even with earphones in). Took nearly 2 hours to connect to Chromecast on TV as power lead is damaged and kept turning off whilst trying to connect via Bluetooth. No air-con - there is a unit on the wall but there is no cooling option and windows do not open. Asked for a room without red walls or ceiling and was assured this was fine and that reception had been made aware, but was given a red room (and was in a rush so no time to switch rooms upon arrival as drove a long way to get there and had tickets to a gig).
