From the personal welcome to the happy departure, there was nothing not to like about this B&B. The friendliness was obvious, the property spotless and inviting, the location, 10 minutes from the swing bridge was excellent, although the walk is a little steep at times. Parking was on street with a permit system in operation. Martin supplied the required permit for the two days of our stay without being asked and our car stayed parked close to the B&B throughout our stay. I can imagine that parking during peak visitor season could be tight.

The room and hotel were fantastic. Loved the traditional furniture and decoration. The location is the best in Edinburgh and right on the castle. The food was amazing and the service was second to none. When eating in the garden restaurant for dinner, I noticed that the stone floor had melted candle wax right under where I was sitting, this transferred onto my suede boots. The staff took them away at end of the night and professionally cleaned them for me and they came back as new. What more could I ask for!

Would have been nice to have a bar area to have pre and after dinner drinks, we really missed this being on site although there are plenty of other outside options to choose from.

Beautiful location, unique opportunity to stay in the lighthouse keepers home. Serene and relaxing, with a beautiful walk along the cliffs and down along the beachfront. The facilities were excellent and we would highly recommend a stay. Short train ride into Belfast if you don’t want to take the car. Thanks to Pamela for her patience in waiting for us to arrive.

Nothing we didn’t like, but make sure you know the route to get there. It is down some narrow roads, so read the email which gives you clear instructions.

Great location, great price, room spacious and clean staff polite and helpful. Great being on top of a weatherspoons for good priced food and drinks. Great that it's free refillable hot drinks and they stored our case on check out until we need to go for the train.

The hair dryer in the room was not much use it kept over heating and then it wouldn't work until it had cooled. Next time I would take my own.

Absolutely blown away by this apartment. The room was beautiful, very clean, everything you need was there. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and sithu went above and beyond for us. Highly recommend 10/10

The lighting was very dull, would have been better if brighter. The shower was over a very high bath so a bit difficult to get into especially when you’re older.

The all communication was with text.. Of course that no so bad. But... After a make my booking. Received a message that, have to pay a Good stay guarantee.. And OK...! Although if I knew that before maybe I chose Some other room, I proceeded to pay.. I read the options I have....!!! Or 500€ Hold funds on the card, Or 50... And Somthing... Charge and everything will be fine. There is no need to check the apartment for damage. Beautiful trick to get an extra amount. Couse lots of people afraid or can't I use their card I chose the first.. So in a booking like less than a 1.000 € Choose to Guarantee extra... 530 €. . . I upload photos from our communication. . Result... 22/5/24 Still have the all amount blocked. Of course let them know, that I have videos provided the contition I left the house.. The conclusions are yours.
