      Good location. Generally however awful experience (see below). Repeatedly going to the reception asking for things which should be a matter of course and if they are not, should be handled immediately, made the whole stay very unpleasant. I would be more tolerant if this were a cheap hotel, but it was of little value for this money. I think the hotel misuses the fact, that there are very few acceptable hotels in the city.

      This was an absolute disaster. For this money, one would expect certain services. 1) The room we got was for sure not 20 m2 even if you would count the space under the attic. 2) Once we arrived we asked for a favour - one additional chair (there was only one in the room for two) and a small table - similar to what there was already. After three days and 5 times talking about it to different receptionists (they even promised to do it immediately or in a minute, etc.), we got the chair, not the table. We resigned. This is also a biz hotel; if you need to work, you need a chair and table. 3) When giving our night attire to laundry at 8 am, we were told, that they "will try" to do it that day. That created unnecessary stress (we obviously needed the stuff for that night). We got the laundry after urging the reception again. 4) Funny enough, a letter threatening us that we did not provide credit card details (for laundry, I guess) was in the room immediately - that was the only thing for which we did not have to wait. 5) Laundry arrived when urged, but many items were not ironed, although we asked for it (and paid nearly 200 pounds for it). You can hardly put a non-ironed handkerchief in your evening suit, right? Or take a non-ironed undershirt... 6) One day, we had to urge housekeeping and it was only done after that - around 5 pm. Also, surprise in a hotel like this. 7) When we arrived, there were three last napkins. They were never refilled during our stay. This we were too tired to urge. 8) At the end of the stay the receptionist refused to provide me with an invoice! She said (wrongly) that only booking.com may issue an invoice to me. Because it does not make sense to argue with an incompetent person after some pressure I resigned and asked her to write me an e-mail that the hotel will not issue an invoice. This she promised to do immediately. Guess what? I have not obtained that e-mail until today.

      It was a perfectly fine apartment, just as advertised. It had a nice bath with good hot water, as well as a good shower.

      It is beginning to crumble, and needs some upkeep. The window latches were almost all broken as was one of the blinds. It was very hot when I got there, so could do with another fan or two for hot summers. Not for people who do not want to go up 3 flights of stairs.

      The property is very well decorated and located in a lovely area.

      The downfalls to this property was, the shower was either piping hot unable to use or freezing cold. We followed the instructions given by the owner and was told we are unable to touch the boiler to try and sort it so that wasn’t very ideal. The towels provided and bed didn’t smell very clean and fresh at all. The communication between the owner and ourselves I found to be quite abrupt and rude on phone calls, but the actual property itself is lovely and located in a lovely area.
