Very smart 'beach hut' chalet, comfortable and well equipped. The decking outside looking over the horses paddock is great for eating outside and relaxing. Very peaceful location, surrounded by birdsong and green views.

Due to the location the mobile phone reception and Wifi internet connection is weak to none existent, but if you are looking for a proper restful break maybe that is actually a good thing.

We stay here before breakfast was lovely but this time wasn't as nice but we found out the chef was on holiday and this morning he was back you could tell the difference it was a lot better.

Recently renovated and a little tatty in places (nettles growing up thru fence) but room, bed, breakfast and staff all exceeded expectations. Fine value for money.

I'd specifically asked about the noise (from other comments) as the room was above the bar. I'd been told no problem. you could hear the music from the bar until midnight - i was there for work and travelled long way so tired and wanted sleep not drink. The internal phone didn't work. Because the room 'May' (avoid at all costs) was at the top of the stairs, every time someone walked past the door rattled so i had to put the chair right up against it to stop this from happening. Room ridiculously warm and controls in the room were not working. So in total: noisy from the beat of the music from the bar until it closed (I was there mid-week); noisy from people walking past and door not fitted properly; extremely hot centrally as controls not working; internal phone not working (I had to use my mobile to ring reception to ask about times for breakfast).

Poor cleanliness, second floor location and no elevator, not properly supplied like pillows and linen, basics missing like no microwave, no ironing board and iron, no frying pans nor oven racks, Brocken down small fridge, bed side table missing , coffee table and side table not provided, cutting board, dish rack, cutlery rack all missing. The list continues and is long.
