Excellent location, a two minute walk from the tube station with easy links to just about anywhere in London. Located on a nice street with plenty of shops and eateries. Friendly and helpful staff; spotlessly clean and pleasant room with a very nice view and a huge window. Quiet. Great shower. Comfortable bed. The temperature of the room was just right. Complimentary large bottle of water & bar of chocolate.

We thought the breakfast was overpriced. At £20 per person, there is no option for a cooked breakfast (although there were boiled eggs you could take from the buffet). The choice of bread was a little unusual (which is not in itself a negative, but some more conventional options would have been good. There was no "normal" bread of the type you would use in the toaster, and no bread rolls of any kind. Only loaves of "Charcoal Bread" and other speciality breads). All of the hard cheese was presented in bite-sized cubes, which is not a good shape for putting on a slice of bread. The choice of cereals looked good. Coffee and orange juice were good, and the breakfast room was nice. However, you can get better breakfast catering for all tastes in small cafes all over London at lower prices.

Position of the Hotel is fantastic, 30 second walk to inside the Airport. Staff at reception efficient but not very friendly. Evening meal, drinks etc were very good, but so disappointed that the breakfast room and kitchen were closed due to refurbishment and I didn't get my full English treat! Work has to be done, so hopefully it will be open soon with even better facilities Overall I enjoyed my stay.

The Callander Hostel is situated next to a beautiful river, not far at all from the town centre. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The room was good, very clean, the showers were powerful enough and there was plenty of hot water.

If I had to be say something here, one of party commented that their could have been a bit more space in the room, but I would not have said space was an issue. I didn't like all the snoring, but since they were my friends I can't complain too much....

The cooked breakfast options covered majority of tastes and were nicely cooked and presented. The tea and cafetière was good too. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Would have preferred a self service table for cereals, fruits, yogurts, water, juices etc The choice of spreads for toast were rather mediocre!
