Location on River Dee, and the floating bar (like an Old Barge), nice outdoor area to watch the activities on the river (rowing, kayaking to name two). Accommodation in the old building quite quirky (Medieval black & white, Vistorian), retaining original features. Parking on site.

Seemed a bit slow to clear off the tables in the outdoor area from previous clients (which included plates, cutlery etc) and unfort the toilets in the bar area could have done with cleaning, emptying bins etc.

Reception was good. Room was small, very clean, nice comfortable bed, & good ensuite facility.. Location in the heart of Romford so abundant choice of restaurants and pubs.

Insisted on deposit but then on checkout not providing vat invoice & receipt. I need these as proof of stay and payment for business expenses. Still awaiting email with these. Review questions should include some questions relating to deposits, invoices & receipts..

Outstanding location and lovely communication with owners. Great to sit outside and watch the lovely countryside. Could not fault it. Massively recommend.

Absolutely nothing! Showers BBQ's and shops near by. Nothing to complain about at all!
Positive section of review
Easy to find, easy to park, staff tried to resolve problems but alternative rooms were worse!

Dismal room overlooking central courtyard with motors and fans running all night, window didn’t close, room door had gaps around it large enough to pass envelopes through, mattress with broken spring sticking into occupant, dirty carpet, wonky furniture. Like the last investment in this room was 1987! Coach loads of pensioners who’d been there for a week knew all the tricks so this customer stood around waiting for half a hour and then hot breakfast items were inedible. Threadbare carpet on main stairs gives clues without going in depth. No food after 7pm, so had to go back out, at which they asked me to leave my Yale key behind - apparently it’s a rule. Wow!

Nothing really considering the price you pay.

Room was comfortable and clean. Express cafe was excellent

The room was the furthest room the lift - 3 sides of the building away. We had heavy luggage and very difficult to wheel over the carpet given our age(over 70).

Reasonably priced and close to the train station

I regularly stay at the Ibis but last time they've put me in one room vey small and old , just above the restaurants on the 2nd floor . The breakfast quality is decreasing every time I stay there , isn't worth to pau £14 extra for that breakfast
