The property was very clean , spacious and well located for the city with excellent transport links for venturing in/ outside of the city to Portobello beach. Very helpful family member next door who provided assistance with key safe arrangement.

Plug socket was hidden from view by bed headboard which was easily removed , once located.

Location was perfect for getting to the university and train station Room was sufficient as we only needed it to sleep in, no luxuries but it did what we needed. Bed was basic but I slept on it Free luggage store was excellent.

Breakfast was mediocre in quality but of the standard I'd expect from a hostel. I didn't have high expectations but felt it was a hybrid hostel / hotel.

Room was really cold air con falling off the wall and not working. Duty Manager unable to fix so had provide an extra quilt for my two daughters. The rooms we stayed in were very dated and sparse with decoration.

Very poor WiFi, our cabin was a bit dusty too (not great when you have allergies). Due to lack of WiFi, entertainment sites would not work well (e.g Netflix etc) but perfect if you’re looking for a technology-free escape

Decor of room had wallpaper peeling off wall and henerally needed updating.Service at bar was extremely slow.

The windows and curtains were covered in damp and mould. The bed sheets were terrible quality and bobbly. There was dirty belongings from previous guests one being a tongue scraper which is totally unacceptable. The bathroom and shower were also covered in mould and the sink was broken.
