Breakfast was really tasty especially mushrooms. Good choice every day and filled us up for the day. Room very comfortable. All staff very attentive. A bit more choice needed on evening meals, but on the whole complements to the chef. Lovely patio to chill on. The location was very convenient to all locations and a really quaint town with independent shops.

Friendly stuff, nice location, great room planning: it’s small but arranged so that you have free space, great desk, and the bathroom was very modern and quite spacious. View was into the backstreets, quiet and pretty. Felt cozy

I don’t know if the bed would be long enough for taller people and some might find it hard to get up the London stairs. For me neither were an issue

Great independent hotel, nice hideaway location. Good facilities and parking. Bedroom wasn’t just a box, with a uniqueness and similarly was the bathroom.

We had a lovely stay, the cottage was very cosy. Pickering is a great base for exploring the areas

The parking, it said it had off road parking on site, a bench was in the way, just as you drive in. The yard was unsuitable for parking anything other than one very small car and there are 2 cottages using the yard. We ended parking just outside using the supplied permit. Had the parking outside been busy, we would have used the permit at the local car park.

No soap/ hand wash provided in bathroom. Linen did not smell clean, wasn’t fresh. Advertised with private parking - not the case. Already one car in small spot behind property. I was shouted at by neighbour who said I couldn’t park there. Host told me to park on opposite street. Not private or safe. No privacy in bathroom, windows had no blind/ curtain. No wifi. Only one toilet roll provided. Shower had a nail sticking out of the knob. No temperature beside very hot water.

Parking was slight issue- had to find space and walk up to property. Bed in top bedroom has 2 single mattresses and join could be felt through the topper. Otherwise no concerns.
