We stayed in the Riverside rooms as we had a dog and that gave us direct access to the grounds. Good size room, well furnished with tea & coffee available and a lovely view overlooking the River Tay. Dinner Menu was £65 but we opted for a main course only. Food was hot and tasty and well cooked. Service was good and there was a lovely outlook from the dining room. Breakfast was a hot buffet and there was ample choice. Lovely grounds and a lovely riverside walk. Staff were very pleasant

Being charged £4.50 for a dish of vegetables which appeared as 1 floret of broccoli on the plate

Staff absolutely superb. Unfailingly friendly and helpful, no weak links in the chain at all. Food generally excellent and decent value. Room clean, quiet and well-appointed. Excellent location: easy to access and plenty of parking, attractive building with history and wow factor. Though we hadn't booked it, HH was able to switch us to a room with special facilities to accommodate my elderly father.

Not much to find fault with at all. Maybe a bit of mouldy grout in the shower if you look carefully.

The view is absolutely stunning and the location is perfect right on the front with shops and pubs. Comfortable and clean throughout. Everything you needed was avaliable ie hairdryer, pots pans, etc. Beautiful house and rooms.

The roof was leaking in the dining room and soaked our coats. We had trouble getting the boiler on as it kept saying over run and couldn't get through to the owner after 10pm, despite an agreed later arrival time. Had to search for the cot and work out how to put it up when we arrived at 9pm rather than it already being prepared like other places have. We brought cot blankets but there was no available linen for it. It was brand new in a cardboard box and so didn't see it at the back of the cupboard under the staits when searching so had to ring the owner to find out where it was, but they didnt know either. Stairs to a loft room are quite steep to manage with a 1 year old but the room itself is lovely. Didn't realise the room would be in the loft.

The pod we were staying in was very well presented. The staff at reception were very welcoming, and couldn't do enough to help.

Music from pub can go on till 3 am. ⁰Decor needs refreshing. Damage from past inconsiderate guest needs to be fixed. So that for those guest who are cosiderate and leave as they find, are confident they will have their deposit returned. Sofabed stained and a little uncomfortable.

Everything in the room was horrible, tiny, and hot. You couldn't even open a window. It was the worst hotel experience ve ever had.
