I cannot fault anything. Such a well kept old fashioned yet beautiful pub/accomadation. We loved everything. Old fashioned fire place, beams, stone work.staff was so attentive, whilst being kind and caring. The food breakfast was a traditional English breakfast, however you could choose to have other things. There was also cereals, yougarts, fruit, toast.all of which was immaculately presented. Bed room was amazing what a lovely bed and again everything as traditional as it could be. Our room had hand rails etc for disability aid so thoughtful. Tea and coffee and bottled juice, what more could we ask for. Thank you so much we will be back.

Location was great, close to all buses for everywhere else and right in the middle of town. Busy at night, but the pub closes by 12 and then it's silent. They kept my suitcase before and then after check in, no issues at all. Staff were extremely helpful. They printed out tickets when my phone broke and helped me fix my phone too. Very helpful. They also moved me straight away when I asked about the loud generator sound in room 19. Netflix etc on TV was good when getting back at night.

I will say the only upside was that the staff was very nice, they answered all my questions and tried to help in any way they could, even if they could not help most of the time. The location of the hostel was decent as well.

When my friends and I arrived the first day they had no working outlets in the rooms. We had to sit in the lobby till 3:00 am to charge our phones for the next day. Even when they had fixed the power outlets one of my friends had an outlet that blocked her from charging her phone. Their beds are made with top flat sheets tucked under the mattress, so they come undone easily and the bedding they give you is like a very tiny duvet with a bunched up blanket in it. The mattress itself and the blankets feel very unclean, and I've seen reviews that discuss bed bugs and blood stains on their mattresses. The lockers provided in the rooms are so tiny that you cannot fit any of your stuff in it, my friends and I had to sleep with our backpacks on top of us. The lockers also require a euro coin, which not everyone has, and the reception does not have any either so if you get there late after a long day of travel it's disappointing to not have a safe place to put your stuff.

The beverages could have been more inline with the current climate, the bar staff could have known that you do Indeed stock single malt whiskey.. However the things that spoilt our stay the most was the heeling of the bed as my partner is lighter than me, and the pillows were way to soft. I didn't see any point in contacting reception, as it was very late, the hotel was full and I could see only the pillow situation being resolved. The second problem, although we having very good breakfast conversations, was the hour wait for a cold overcooked breakfast, although we were sat in the very middle of the dining hall, we were totally forgotten. I didn't sleep or eat well, and wish I'd saved my money and drove home, we only stayed out of politeness to the family bride. to top it all off, I managed to lose a chunk out of the side wall of a rear tyre & a puncture from the sharp gravel car park, neither of which were apparent the day before or at the MOT a month ago

Could not control the temperature in the room which was too hot! Didn't have a good sleep which is unusual as normally the air con is amazing. This was my 5th stay here. I didn't want to call staff at 3am so mentioned next morning. I was instantly offered a partial refund which was very welcome so 5* service. It didn't put me off from staying here again.
