Great location, and efficient secondary glazing to cope with the fact it's on the high street. Very quirky building, with the usual wonky bits you'd expect from such an old hotel. Rooms well equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits, including a Nespresso machine. Great bathroom with a lovely shower. We ate in the cosy hotel restaurant on one evening, and had a very good fish and chips, with an excellent real ale. The staff were all very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended.

I would have liked a softer pillow, and more than 3 hangers in the wardrobe. Having said that, I have a feeling both issues would have been sorted had we mentioned it at the time.

An enjoyable stay, comfortable and clean but room a bit basic, no wardrobe just a hanging rail. The whole place was a bit 1950s in decor and furnishing, but that’s ok. It’s been a long time since I stayed in a hotel with net curtains. The food was good and staff very friendly. You need to be aware however that if arriving from Fort William the stay will add £20 as that is the return cost of the ferry.

Quite happy with how it was. Only small issue was the room smelt a bit musty but opening the window for a while and a bit of air freshener it was fine.

Very clean, all facilities required were there. Loved the fact we all had a bathroom each.
Negative section of review
Not enough mirrors by the plug sockets for drying hair etc. Quite noisy, nearby property having work done.

Small hotel with two restaurant- situated in the gear of town with free parking

We were given room 3 which was on the main we heard all the cars passing by the windows did not open fully. The worst thing was the room was overheated we could not turn off the heater and hot pipes run through the room into other areas of the hotel. The bathroom heater came on in the night. We asked to change rooms when we arrived but this was not possible. We did not sleep well.
