Positive section of review
The location was right in the town centre and you walk out onto the Main Street. The breakfast was lovely and was included in the price. The staff were very friendly and efficient. There are many restaurants located around the hotel. We ate at the “Packhorse “ pub which is just across “Main Street” and down a small courtyard area. The steak and other food was excellent. The main public car park was at the rear of the premises and is the smallest of walks with a very small incline. We called the hotel and that gave us a digital parking ticket, again no issues. £7 if you book with the hotel £12 through booking.com ? We called the hotel as we were bombarded with follow up emails from them and Booking.com about making payment. They confirmed we could make payment on arrival.

Way, way too warm in the hotel. Small bath room with no bath. I’m ok with a shower but my wife isn’t a fan. Small steep narrow steps to rooms, not good for the less able. Room showed signs of wear and tear. Excessive floorboard squeak. The cost of the room £160, whilst was on par with other hotels it was over priced for what it was.

It was such a fantastic hotel. On top of the water, there is no need to go so far an excotic places. Amazing view from the room, so quite and tranquilizer which all we need. Very good restaurant. Wonderful and helpful staff. Many thanks to Mike. I would definitely like to come back if I can in the future.

They didn't clean the room on the second day. But it wasn't that much matter to me. We didn't need to ask.

The room was a decent size for 2 people. Parking on site was good. The food from the restaurant was lovely and service there was excellent. Breakfast was cooked well and staff were friendly. A nice touch to have gluten free cereal available too.

It was a little disappointing to only get 5 cooked items included in breakfast, unless we wanted to pay extra for more items. (Although continental was available) However, cooked items were lovely.

After booking the apartment where it says parking on site. The owner is pestering for a parking permit of £40 for the week. We have already paid as per the advert. I do get everyone needs to make money, however this should have been highlighted on booking and included in the cost. Not turn up after paying then people knocking on the door at 10:30 at night. Very disappointing and has made it a very bad experience to deal with.

Room was a little tired and another group monopolised the snug room and clearly wanted to exclude anyone else from using that room. This was not the hotel's fault but was annoying.
