5 stars for this place and the hospitality of the locals who run it. Archie and Peter have set up a wonderful place in this spacious accommodation. They are both happy to share their intensive, local knowledge. Bed/room/ensuite/shared kitchen were all faultless. Perfect position with a short walk to the supermarket, local pub, post office and thrift shop. A short drive to Eriskay Island where the ferry to Barra (then on to Vatersay where the Hebridean trail begins) or where Sea Uist Tours depart for St Kilda. Close to sites dating back 6,000 years and stunning beaches. Just under one hour drive to North Uist where I arrived on the ferry from Uig (Skye). What's not to love? I'll be back. Much gratitude to Archie and Peter for making this place a home away from home.🙏

Loved how easy it was to communicate with John and Inna before our visit. I had messaged just to check which room we were going to be allocated after having issues previously via Booking.com and I also messaged about our arrival time. I received really quick responses. We had room 9 - super comfy super king bed. Tasty continental brekkie! On arrival John met us at the front door and showed to our room. It was a lovely personal welcome. Plenty of convenient parking right outside as well which was one of the reasons why I booked The Parks.

The hotel is a converted 1930s house which is beautiful, but it meant that the window in our room - room 9 - on the second floor was very low, and I was nervous about my 5 year old being anywhere near the window because the bars at the bottom were not new and the window opened fully outwards. However... there was a small coffee table (laden with tea and coffee which was excellent!) I was able to move in front of the window to block it which meant he couldn't reach the bars nor the window!

It was a good location as my Daughter got married at the venue next door we stayed here after the wedding as didn't want to drive home to Yorkshire day after and it was a great cheaper alternative to the expensive 2 nights at the wedding Benue Le Petite Chateau

The weather was a little unkind for the end of May heating wasn't on but had small wall heater in bathroom and portable one in wardrobe but this was noisy when TV was on we were having a chilled day after the 2 days at the wedding but not really a bother as the B&B wasn't busy as middle of week.

The host is very professional. We had a great fun staying at the property. Property has a great view of Devis and Black Mountain. Short taxi from the city centre, use local taxis like Gransha Taxis, or Fona. The hosue is well equipped and comfy. 100% recommended.

We were upgraded to a full estuary view room with a great balcony. I loved the complimentary gin and tonic and the fact that someone came round every evening to provide ice/slice. The setting is magnificent.

The rooms didn’t look like the pictures, we reserved a deluxe double room but got given the compact room Alerted this to staff so this got amended to a deluxe room. Both rooms were very small with limited room and did not look like the pictures. Our walls had some damp which wasn’t very pleasant, limited plug points, only one mirror and only one bed side table. Made most of it as was only there to sleep/ shower
