Perfect stay. We were attending a wedding nearby & before we’d even arrived we were helped with information on taxis etc. When we were greeted we were shown the facilities & were surprised at how much was complimentary. There are delicious cordials, crisps, chocolate & homemade cake, which was perfect when we got back after the wedding & felt a little “jaded”. We also had a recommendation of The Boat (within walking distance) for a light bite which was lovely. The room was so well equipped & the bed large & comfy. Breakfast was served to the room in a hamper & was plentiful. Before we left we had a lovely stroll along the canal. Loved it so much we’ve already booked to come back & stay longer.

Very nice location near the river. The greenery scene is very nice. The surrounding is incredible. Hotel staff were amazing. We came early on the day, and asked the reception staff for an early check in. The lady at the reception promised that once the previous guest checks out, she will inform the housekeeping to prepare the room for us. She did and we had our river view room ready early (Around 12 PM). Thanks for going extra mile. The free was handy. Breakfast in the Coppa club was decent. Room was quiet and cozy. Clean and has a nice view.

Everything was nice. But I suggest adding robes in the bathrooms, and a luggage stand in the rooms.

The whole stay was great from start to finish, however a couple of pointers I do feel are necessary to discuss for future improvements for future guests. The location was great, remote, comfortable, relaxing and great for couples as a retreat like break. The gastro-pub is a short 5 minute walk away with great food options and lovely cocktails. It is a short 15 minute drive from both Bamburgh & Alnwick which has gorgeous sights to see. Hot tub was cute! Bed was comfortable. Toiletries were a nice touch.

My partner paid additional, for a chilled bottle of Prosecco, chocolate dipped strawberries and “candles dancing around the room” and he asked for this to be in the room after we arrived back from the restaurant. It was done on arrival, the candles were battery candles, and only 2 of the 4 actually worked & the bottle of chilled Prosecco was not chilled all the ice had melted and it was almost not “special” like it is marketed to be for £50. We were then woke up at 06:20am by a generator rattling noise (loud!) which was non-stop for 20 mins, it was only when I checked that I realised the radiators had came on full blast? When I tried to turn them down with the thermostat outside the door in the corridor it did not work……. My final comment would be, we checked in and got told there was only an 8am time slot left for breakfast in the restaurant, or we could have a 10-10:30 slot for breakfast to the room, which was absolutely fine (might be better to prompt guests to pre-book their breakfast slot so they aren’t left with limited options) I asked for a sausage bun, and my partner bacon and sausage. I got delivered a “vegan sausage” bun which was a total disappointment as it was never mentioned about me being vegan, and due to them being delivered from the pub 5 mins away, it wasn’t really worth me phoning, for them to remake one, and re deliver when it wasn’t on site and we were checking out 11am. I would have left this feedback at reception, but no one was on check out unfortunately.

Travelling with friends and we really enjoyed staying at this property. Friendly hosts. Rural location with pub next door. Cafe down the road where you can buy milk, bread. Comfortable beds, clean and kitchen well equipped. We loved being able sit outside and listen to the sound of the stream.

A great location at the end of the Lochs and Glens cycle route. Met up with wife who arrived before me. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Good food and a great selection of beers.

Entered the hotel and the man who checked me in was very friendly and polite. The room was clean and I managed to get a booking in the bar for dinner. Overall fairly happy.

The TV had so many channels that dont work , is it worth updating the TVs? Had dinner in bar , Waited 45 minutes for the Bokan Burger and it was only just warm so I returned it. When I did get it back, it looked like it had just been stuck in the microwave and there isnt enough choice on bar menu. On my way out the lady i approached looks like she would rather be on her mobile that checked me out. Room is expensive for what it is to be honest.
