Listing caught my attention due to the great score which is fully deserved. Abbey is a wonderful host, very organised and had provided very clear instructions regarding check in/out and also provided lots of great advice for local restaurants and other services. Also a very lovely and welcoming person and really could not do more to make the stay enjoyable. The room itself was very spacious and immaculately clean with a good sized private en suite shower/toilet. Best night's sleep I have had in a long time! Other reviews mention road noise but I did not notice this with the windows open and even if closed, there was a fan in the room to provide cooling.

Five star accommodation - from a friendly welcome from Simon who provided useful advice on places to eat and pubs to a great room. Large room stylishly decorated with all facilities you would expect, clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast, plenty of choice and everything freshly cooked. Would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Only booked for 4 nights would have liked to stay for longer!

Highly recommend the restaurant that absolutely exceeded my expectations. Quiet location, perfect for us as we were cycling across the Cotswolds. We could safely leave our bikes in a small locked compound out of sight behind the hotel. Helpful and reactive staff.

The bike storage space is open to the elements. Some rules are a bit strict (need to take your trash back with).

The bed was amazing, big, spacious and comfy. Toilet was awful, like children’s toilet, low to floor and cramped bath.. Bland shower gels and soaps for price of hotel.water in hand sanitizer and no smell to anything, apart from drain smell in our room

The fact that the petersham have temp charged us £885 for two night stay,as they have put a £500 hold deposit on top our final bill, which we now cannot use until hold is removed.Contacted bank who states that it’s the hotel who times the hold…£36 for two whiskey sour single, also extortionate

The location was fabulous...loved the area. Walkable to restaurants and theatre. And loved the cancellation policy since we are always up in the air about our travel plans until the last minute.

Didn't use the pool...wish it was more of a spa or there was at least a hot tub. Found the lay out of the hotel to be quite confusing but we got used to it. Our room was lovely and the bed was very comfy.

Breakfast was good. Location great for the All-Energy conference. Room was comfortable and large

Hotel was being refurbished, so there was some disruption. My colleague had to leave the hotel and find another because the AC in his room did not function. Very disruptive as we prepared for the conference.

Convenience, size of apartment, Paula's scones and clotted cream.

Our bedroom was very warm even with the window open
