The location is superb, a few hundred yards from Paignton seafront. The room was just right - slightly tired but ensuite was good. it was clean and had plenty of tea and coffee. Staff are incredibly helpful The bar area overlooks the front so you can sit with a drink and overlook the sea The hotel is a very short walk into town and 2 minutes walk to the front and beach Free parking was a bonus We didn't eat in the hotel (and other was no pressure to do so) It was planned as a short break and was ideal

It is beautifully refurbished, allowing the traditional Glasgow tenement experience but with all modern cons and relaxing and tasteful decor. Great bathroom, comfortable living room and gorgeous sandstone features in the bedroom. Loads of towels and provision of detergent for washing machine & dishwasher.

The kitchen equipment/ utensils were a little sparse but Craig was grateful for our feedback and he may have put that right by now. It would benefit from a few more places to hang coats etc.

On arriving the hotel is in a wonderful setting, and decor inside is stunning. The staff made us feel very welcome and our rooms very comfortable. The evening meal and breakfast was superb. All in all a great place to spend a few days. The grounds are also very well kept and great for a walk.

Place needs a major up lift room was down trodden bed very uncomfortable old, hole in ceiling taped up windows frame rotten flooring near window broken curtains not fitted correctly decor vintage noisy my room right at side of so called recipient laundry room directly opposite no details in room regard other facilities I have photos of room.

It was dirty cobwebs over kitchen sink, bath was dirty, and the bedroom stunk like dirty armpits it soiled my skin and clothes I could not wait to get home and shower. Plus the pictures are not true to life the bedding was all mix matched and also smelt of rotten armpits it was almost like a tramp had been living in the room
