It was a bit off putting on arrival to fine it covered in scaffolding - however on entering and finding our room it was obvious that a lot of care and work had gone on to renovate the inside be for the owners tackled the outside. The staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough to ensure we were happy. The buffet breakfast would put many large hotels to shame - there was so much to choose from and table cloths and fabric serviettes! They deserve to do well in the future. Thank you for being so kind to us.

Only the scaffolding outside but I am sure when finished it will be restored to Joe it appeared in the pictures. The plumbing was a little noisy and the walls between rooms could be better sound proofed

Very friendly staff who helped us when we arrived 2 hours early - property manager came to show us how the heating worked and to fix a small problem. The flat was clean and the beds were comfy - the view from the veranda was exceptional. All went well 15 minute walk to the centre of Cardiff and 10 minutes to Cardiff Bay

Just little cosmetic things like some weeds on the veranda and things looked just slightly worn but the modern look was good - really that's about it.

Room was immaculate, bathroom was beautifully clean and bed was super comfy. A great view out the window and the room was the perfect size. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, easy check-in and check-out process; could not fault this place! Easily the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

Location - a lovely rural "village green" location yet only a short drive to Amersham tube station for easy access to London. Great breakfast freshly made (options available) included served in the bar

Overall you'd have to say the premises are a bit tired and in need of a refurb - but if you look past that it is still good value for money. I was a bit surprised to find the bar area closed and in darkness at 10pm on a Saturday night - so no nightcap on returning from our afternoon in the capital.

Wetherspoons always surpasses their interiors, and this was no exception. Very friendly staff serving quality beer. The food was up to its usual high standards. The room was tastefully decorated.

The room was a surprise, a suite, lounge and bedroom. Full Welsh breakfast was lovely. The dining room and bar area were nicely furnished. Beautiful grounds lovely location

No Chef, limited dinner menu. Reception functional more than welcoming. When asking a member of staff where to sit for diner she wasn't aware and said that "She hope that they didn't expect her to cook" Interesting bar pricing (not visible) Ordered a G&T and a brandy Charged £15 order a second round without the tonic charged same amount. When challenged apparently the price always included a mixer.! A new one for me!!
