Great stay at The Nook in Saltburn. Geoff, contacted us personally before our arrival and pulled out all the stops to get us into the property before our actual check in time. Was there to meet us on arrival and talked us through all the need to knows about the property. The personal touch was a welcome change from contactless arrival. A beautiful accommodation with amazing views and a stone throw away from all the local attractions. Will definitely be coming back again. Thank you Geoff and family.

The flat was amazing! It is roomy, comfortable, clean and tidy. We liked the coffee station with the little biscuits. Bed was comfy and the living room has a nice sofa with a blanket, great for having a break after a long day visiting the city. Very good value for money! Note: they do ask for a 150£ deposit when you arrive to the accommodation. This was reimbursed a month later.

A member of staff who organised the parking when we got there, a porter to take our bags up to our room, was really appreciated, as several flights of steep stairs, A lovely breakfast , and dinner both days. All made for a perfect stay. in a lovely Inn with lots of history in the centre of Rye.

Great central location, all staff very friendly & helpful. Breakfast & dinner excellent, generously portioned at a reasonable price. Bedroom well equipped if a little small, bathroom surprisingly spacious. Well worth a visit.

The fact it was a very old building in a small village and they had happy hour for 2 hours in an evening on some pints it was £4 a pint. Rooms are very spacious.

Well it was very empty and imagine it’s more thriving on a weekend. Some sort of help yourself breakfast option would have been nice. Instead we had to travel 3 miles in to Wycombe to get something when I was visiting family in the village it was abit ridiculous to travel there a back for some breakfast. Sink wasn’t clean was full of black hair like someone had shaved their beard. There could have been more human presence or self check in like key coded box or something as I wouldn’t have minded checking myself in like some Airbnb’s as it seemed more suited to that when quiet. Also I was finally booked into the haunted room and I didn’t see any ghosts at all.

The sofa bed is not a sofa bed, it is a futon, it isn’t really suitable for sleeping on. The toilet also smells horrific.

One of the ladies on the evening poured a gentleman a pint and I assumed they were open and tried to order a drink and was told bluntly we are closed I said oh sorry I just assumed as you served him, to which she did not respond. There was 2 people to each room, one of the rooms only had 1 cup and sufficient facilities drinking facilities for 2 both rooms weren’t clean, the bathrooms needed a good vac and mop as the was dust fluff and his knows what else. The tray that held the tea and coffee facilities was dirty in the tray the coffee, tea bags, sugar and milk were stored and the actual tray that the kettle cups etc were placed on was also dirty. I thought upstairs was going to come through the ceiling as they were so noisy , the red light on the smoke alarm on the ceiling kept me awake and the bed was uncomfortable

Absolutely not a hotel, it's an unstaffed, sketchy looking townhouse with code locks. The room was not very clean, but just about acceptable. It was about 22 degrees outside, but it was already boiling in the room (it was on the top floor), condensation on the windows and no AC. Would definitely NOT rent a room when it's any hotter outside. The shower had no instructions, tried twisting every knob for minutes but didn't get the temperature under near-boiling, so we could not shower.
