Positive section of review
•It was somewhere a little bit different and memorable for a family stay. We have been visiting universities around the country and many of the hotel rooms have all blended into one memory. We’ll remember the boat fondly. •Having 2 bedrooms meant that my teenage daughter could have her own room, but we would still be close by if needed. She loved her warm and comfy bed. •Boat had lots of really homely touches; great lighting, fur rugs on the floor and heated blankets. Books and games were a lovely addition. Nice smelling soap and shampoo. •There were plenty of heaters and blankets, meant we could sit outside on the back, even in April. •Plenty of gadgets (head torch in the drawer), sockets and chargers. Clean, well stocked kitchen; wipes, towels, washing up liquid, tea, coffee and spices etc. •toilet instructions were appreciated- worked well for a boat toilet. •Simon was really friendly and answered all our questions promptly. We knew he would be there to help if we had any issues.

Nothing was really a problem & we loved the boat. Areas for consideration: •We couldn’t get the gas ring on the cooker to come on full, the kettle took ages to boil- the gas switch on the wall was on. It could have been something we didn’t do, but there were no instructions if that was the case. •A small microwave would have been more useful than a cooker for reheating food. • The fridge had perishables in it; butter, milk, sauces etc. We weren’t sure how long they had been opened or who had left them, so didn’t use.

The whole vibe of the place was great. Great beer garden, nice drink selection. Room was really cosy and lovely. Beautiful building. Really well located. Fantastic price, especially for allowing a dog too. Staff were fantastic and you even got a discount on food and drink in the pub, which is great.

The shower did have a bit of an issue with pressure. It would come out full blast, then lose pressure and it gets hotter when it happens. Then a few seconds later, it goes back to full pressure. Also the TV had a "demo" setting that I couldn't remove for some reason, so it had an annoying overlay on the screen that I couldn't get rid off.

My apartment was well equipped and clean. It is a quiet site and I enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. It is just a short drive to both Filey and Bridlington. I cannot comment on the restaurant or leisure facilities as I didn't use them.

Exceptional stay, highly recommended. Location was so perfect, central and easy to get to from the train station. Great communication, massive rooms and very comfortable stay in the apartment. Would happily stay here again.

Location was on very busy road and not a nice view. Conveniently located for train station though. Staff very helpful.

Building being renovated and water was an issue. The first room was not very clean or nice so staff changed the room which was much better in terms of cleanliness.

Breakfast lack of cereal choice.Lack of table choice.Cooked breakfast average . On arrival for breakfast on the second day along with another couple we did not realise we had to book a table ! This should be made clear on arrival and not relying on guests reading the small print in the rule book in the room ! Was surprised to find cleaners had been in the room whilst we were having breakfast on the first morning! This is not normal practice ! ! Hotel is really nice but a few issues need attention to bring it into line with most others !
