– Free EV charging is a major bonus at this location. – Sauna is fantastic; 80°C is an excellent strong, temperature for spa frequenters like me. – Breakfast was à la carte and quite generous; a branded Costa coffee was a nice surprise, too. – I ended up in a 'cabin,' but it turned out to be a bonus; more secluded, peaceful, and enjoying sunrise views.

– Receptionist forgot to inform location and timings of breakfast; leaving me none the wiser at midnight about when to set an alarm for the morning. – It should be made clearer that the spa isn’t included in accommodation, even though "Spa" is included in the name of the hotel. – Spa jets timeout after 30 seconds, which is quite abnormal and ridiculous when you're trying to relax.

Booked the hotel for a conference in Edinburgh and it provided everything that I could have asked for. The room, breakfast and communal areas were as expected, as was the price. The location is excellent for sightseeing around Edinburgh and I would definitely consider returning for a leisure visit.

Location great, over looking the river in the centre of Bourton. Instructions and communications from the site were exceptional and made finding and entering the property quick and easy. All clean and tidy and breakfast delivered to the door was exceptional and 100% value for money : )

Room / bathroom was quite small, however this was communicated clearly before my stay so was not unexpected.

Excellent bathroom and really comfrotable room. Needed to open the window - too warm in the room - to be met with a lot of traffic noise. Good dinner. I did not stop for breakfast.

Awful mattresses and pillows, you can't have a good night's sleep. Both showers did not work and there wasn't enough hot water for a bath. The fire just filled the room with smoke. Both the front and back doors weren't very secure. The whole place was tired and shabby. We left early, some of the family didn't even stay the night because of the hard mattresses. Only one wardrobe for 8 people that you couldn't slide the doors shut. The bedroom door hit the bed so there wasn't very much room to get past. Two of the bedrooms were very small. Our lovely family break was ruined and the owners have offered us a discount to book again, which we will not want to do. The place is up for sale at £2.8 million so they don't care! I won't be using Booking.com again because I can't trust their reviews.

We thought the standard of the lawn and pathway, and especially the patio around the hot tub was disappointing. I booked the accommodation fully knowing that the site was dog friendly. We have a pet dog at home in sweden also. So we are aware of their toilet habits and the work it takes. But the amount of dog poo was ridiculous. I don't think I have ever seen so much before. The responsibility falls mostly on the owners but we literally had to remove several pieces of poo that were directly next to the entrance of the accommodation ... a poor welcome needing to clean our shoes directly. The hot tub area and next to the bbq were several pieces... and it literally smelt really disgusting.
