This is a guest house and the room I had was spotlessly clean, Tracey, the lady who runs the guest house couldn’t have been more helpful, even offering to drive me to the party I was attending. It’s facilities are reflected in the price, which is very reasonable, so don’t expect hotel facilities - although cannot fault the room for comfort and cleanliness. It’s in a quiet road, so no cars racing by. There are different grades of rooms to choose from.

The only downside of my room was that the toilet was outside of my room. Literally next door, but I had to go out of the room to reach it. For younger people that would be fine, but I’m in the older spectrum. But it was my fault for not reading the information fully. There are other rooms available where this isn’t the case, so read the room facilities carefully. There was a kettle with tea and coffee in the room - and a very modern shower.

Beautiful luxury apartment with stunning bathroom and amazing bath. Absolutely spotless , very cosy modern and homely . Great location with great leisure facilities after a day in the lakes . Brilliant stay, will definitely be back again . Would highly recommend.

Spacious room with large comfy bed and bathroom with a lovely view of the surrounding countryside. Very quiet and peaceful, and some nice goodies in the room including great coffee, biscuits and luxury bubble bath. oh, and the breakfast was extremely tasty!

5 mins from train station, 6/7 mins away from york centre. Quiet through the day and night and shops nearby for essentials. Been twice now and a great stay will be back again!!

The staff were rude, there were hidden charges when we got there which we weren’t happy about after we paid the extra charges the receptionist then gave us a piece of paper with the notice of extra charge instead of giving us this before hand. The whole building stunk, people were smoking cannabis outside the hotel and made the hotel stink. bathrooms were grimy and had dirt stains from previous users. Breakfast facilities were abysmal, prison slop, bread and dirty toasters. We stayed with our dogs, there was six of us in total and we had to pay an extra £60 of fees, she gave us the impression it was £10 per room for dogs not £10 per animal, we only stayed here as it was round the corner from an event but wish we went elsewhere as we ended up paying twice the price for a room with fees on top. Staff were incredibly rude about the promise that it this information was on the email and I showed the woman al my email receipts and it wasn’t on there. Never staying again £10 charge for dogs, but not a £10 charge for illegal paraphernalia in and out of the hotel. Foul stay
