My daughter & I travelled together & on our arrival we recieved a friendly welcome. We had a room upgrade which was amazing. At breakfast we had a huge choice of fruit salad, croissants & cereal as well as a full English with mixed toast. Plus tea's & coffee.

Our room had a dripping bathroom tap and the desk with the coffee/tea etc on it had 2 legs only - thus the desk stood up only because it leaned against the wall. I mentioned both to the manager - nice chap!

Steep stairs up to 2nd floor - I have arthritis and didn’t know that there wasn’t a lift. Milk had gone off, despite it being unopened, in date, and in the fridge. Floor appeared to be clean, but was in fact very dusty. Our bare feet got covered in fluff and dust and it was obvious that it hadn’t been mopped for some time. The cleaner likely doesn’t mop it just because it ‘looks’ clean.

Very disappointed that the room was only serviced once throughout the whole week. We had to keep going to reception for toilet paper, tea, coffee etc. We saved up for a four star hotel but should have gone to a b and b, at least they make beds and service rooms.

Quirky venue; good value for money

Slippy showers and poor signage meant my 60 year old father has slipped and cut his foot open during our Coast 2 Coast hike. The shower also had a faulty light meaning visibility was poor. Rude guests talking loudly all night.
