The hotel overall was beautiful, welcomed in by the friendly staff. It was busy in the bar area as we arrived in the late afternoon. The comfy room and location were perfect for our needs. The breakfast was delicious!

For a 5 star hotel there wasn't a 5 star feeling. The room was comfortable but very average. I paid for access to the spa. Upon arrival we were asked if we were "members" we told them we were guests of the hotel and were told we could have 30 minutes max access. There was nobody in the spa. I wasn't expecting to be timed after paying an additional amount to access the spa.

Great value and a really good location close to the arena. Convenient to have a small kitchen and this was equipped with everything we needed. Beds were comfortable, especially the main double. Bathroom was great.

A couple of extra pillows would have been handy - we had to use cushions under the pillows on the sofa beds as there was only one pillow each. Kitchen area itself was clean but the small radiator opposite was very dirty. Floors weren't particularly clean.

Great price for the rooms and an ideal location for the event we were attending. Okay for a one night stay where we were back late anyway. Check out time is generous.

Beds were very uncomfortable. There is no specific bathroom only a separate toilet - this is fine if you are travelling alone but having the shower in the main room is not ideal otherwise! Photos do show this and we accepted it for a one night stay due to the price but would definitely be an issue for a longer stay.

The location, the grounds, comfortable rooms with balcony, well-presented inside (bar, restaurant etc) Nice staff. Very good breakfast.

The first day or two we had the place to ourselves. The weekend there was a wedding party, but we were not affected by that. A bit of car noise late a night when I was trying to sleep, but it might have been from the road.

Good breakfast. Location was fine for the places we had planned to visit (Tintagel, Port Isaac). Free parking.

The property is a bit dated. There were some stains and a few hairs on our bedding.
