Rooms are a great size with super comfortable beds and the whole place feels fresh and new. The bar downstairs is a fun place to hang out and there are handy lockers to leave your stuff if you're going to an event at the Hydro or Armadillo.

There was a fire alarm at 1am - which can't be helped - but it was worrying how few staff were visible during this and the staff who were there did not seem to know what to do in such an event.

Upgraded room which meant I was on the ground floor and suited me better with having an elderly dog. Decent size room and comfortable. There was a huge park at the end of the road great for exercising the dog. Nice meal in the bar next door.

No hot water until 7am for some reason meaning I couldn't shower and leave as early as I'd intended. Might have been mentioned somewhere on the site, but couldn't find information on charge for the dog. It was £10 which I think is excessive for one night and before "deep cleaning" is mentioned, I frequently stay in hotels etc with her and not once have I been charged as much, or at all. All rooms should be deep cleaned regardless. Oh, and the bedside light was so dim I couldn't read....

Great location - pratically in the middle of everything while far away enough from the noise. Big room, comfy bed.

Just a minor thing - no switch for the towel rail in Stable 1 so couldn't dry the towels.

The pictures are very deceiving. Beds were uncomfortable with very worn mattresses. Kitchen utensils were not very clean and had to wash everything be use. Some fixtures and fittings did not look secure such as wardrobe doors hanging off, the stand on the ironing board was broken so had to iron on the floor and the boiler didn’t work upon arrival. The lamp isn’t attached to its base (snapped) and was leaning against the wall. We ended up sorting this ourselves by increasing the pressure. There was a used retainer found in one of the bedrooms and there were loads of cigarette ends outside the back door.
