Homely feel, fireplace in the eve was brilliant. Quality kitchen facilities. Eco vibe about the place with the cleaning fluids and bathroom. Skyline in the bedroom was great although in the early morning was bright, but there was a remote control to access it which I discovered only on the morning of our departure (my own fault). Tina was an excellent host and very approachable and friendly. I didn't experience any issue with the steps leading upstairs or the incline to the cottage and I had a bad leg on the day from previous injury and I'm no spring chicken. The views were great and breakfast outside was awesome with the sound of the birds. The bed was a good size and comfortable.

The noise on the bathroom door handles when leaving the bathroom window open but a minor niggle.

Spacious old country pub with plenty of seating outside . Accommodation is in a row of single storey chalet type behind the pub. Good pub food and friendly service. Note there is a bell tower nearby that chimes every quarter , I loved it but others may prefer to use ear defenders ( which are provided!)

Rather remote location - ok for me but others may prefer being closer to market town of Nantwich -15minutes drive away.

It had a good atmosphere good vibe Definitely more suited for younger people in terms of early twenties But I did really like the hostel the staff so helpful it just wasn’t for me

I had an overbooking and I was downgraded to a 10 bed room and getting there at night it was noisy I couldn’t see everyone was sleeping and I didn’t get to use the facilities

Such a generous welcome basket - enough for our supper and breakfast! Very comfortable and a great location- just a few minutes walk to the shoreline. Lovely garden to sit in.

There was a fridge or some kind of generator switching on and off under room 14 throughout the night which caused a bit of a prob on the sat, which did keep us awake a bit. Otherwise only suggestion would be the facility to use the room card to put drinks and food on whilst in the garden area. Otherwise great stay and would highly recommend.

Minor thing but a tea towel and dish cloth for cleaning dishes. There was a dish washer but superfluous for only a few items.
