Location was perfect for the occasion, on a picturesque street across from the castle - 10/10. Great sized living and dining area with bay window overlooking the street. Clean and tidy. Great communication from the host, prompt replies to mails and very accommodating. Loads of bars, restaurants and shopping on our doorstep.

Not a lot. Couple of minor points - there is a small step up into the kitchen, might be safer with a shallow slope instead. Also a handle in the shower could be beneficial to reduce risk of slips or falls. Again these are minor and didn't detract from a wonderful stay.

Great location for a gig at Brudenell Spcoal Club. Only a short distance from the city centre so a cheap taxi but there was plenty of street parking for drivers. Very comfortable, very clear instructions for getting in.

Location, food and most of all friendliness of staff. This hotel is close to train and bus station which make it ideal to get to other places of interest if you do not have a car. Transport costs were also reasonable.

Stairs. There is no lift. It was only a problem carrying luggage. It would be a problem if you had mobility issues. The bathroom in our room was adequate but could do with some modernisation. Shower over bath and bath a bit high to step into.

Lovely place, absolutely amazing staff. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. They went above and beyond. Food was great, room was spacious and clean. Would 100% recommend and happily stay again.

Great breakfast!! They were able to provide veggie sauages, Soya/almond milk and scrambled eggs. Which were not normally available. We are vegetarians.

A more varies vegetarian/vegan dinner option. The jacuzzi was out of service for two of the days we stayed. Which was a little disappointing.

Very nicely furnished, detailed apartment. Very suitable for two, bathroom was good and clean. Not for three people.

Noise from street was terrible, even when windows were closed. Sofabed was not comfortable. Tried to contact personnel, got an answer by email. They promised to start searching for another place but we never heard of them later. Kitchen/livingroom did not have curtain so it was too light kn the morning (the sofabed is there)

Great location, with a bar area which would be great in the summer. Staff were polite, breakfast was good.

My friend's - single room - was very small and represented poor value for money at £185 per night. Overpriced.

The room was dreadful stank of damp it should never have been let out Also the chef had an accident he set himself on fire it was like faulty towers In its hey day it would have been a beautiful hotel but it’s in too bad a state to let out It spoilt our break
