The room was lovely, breakfast was super tasty and the cocktails were incredible! I stayed for a work event so we were there ready to start at 845am rather than drive 3 hours in the morning. Me and a friend chose to take the train on Friday instead- was easy to get to from the train station, rooms ready on arrival, a really good location to get Bolt taxi to shopping at the Trafford centre, a really good night sleep, lovely breakfast & they looked after our luggage the whole time we was at the event downstairs.

Would have been better if cocktails were served a little later, we wanted to go back to the hotel for one drink before going to bed as it was the best cocktail we had had all evening, we had some issues getting a taxi back which meant we arrived back at 11:10pm to find out no more cocktails after 11pm unfortunately.

Room was beautiful and clean with great decor. Staff we spoke to were lovely and polite. Evening meal was nicely cooked and breakfast was outstanding. Location was perfect for our stay too.

I had asked for an extra bed to be put up in our room at the time of booking as we were travelling with my 10 year old son, and when we went up to the room it wasn't there. When we spoke to reception, we were told that they couldn't get into housekeeping as they had gone home for the day. We were provided with extra pillows and then 3 of us squashed into bed at bedtime, which resulted in a terrible night's sleep for all. Also, the tea tray and kettle being situated in the hanging area for clothes...just why? Every time we wanted to use the kettle we had to move it, so I think rethinking the location is a must.

Everything in the apartment you could need. All spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. It was a good ten minute stroll from the centre but ample buses and taxis if you need them.

Be careful with the lift. I wouldn’t recommend using it. Upgrade your room before you go there. The top rooms might not be available.

Rooms are very run-down - the weather was bad during my stay and I woke up to find rain water leaking into my room and I realised that the sealant around the windows was almost non-existent. Despite all the signs about water conservation and being eco-friendly, the shower only worked when the taps were also running full blast, so a massive waste of water. Chair for the desk was completely the wrong height and therefore uncomfortable to use. I also deliberately booked a 'premium' room expecting a full seaview (as other rooms specified if the view was 'side on'), so was extremely disappointed to have not only a side on view, but that view was largely blocked by what I am assuming is a electrical maintenance box on the balcony, but regardless was also overlooking construction vehicles on the beach. The whole reason for booking this hotel was for a good view from my room so this was very disappointing.

I specifically booked a ground floor room due to my mobility issues, but we were given a room on the first floor with a bath/shower that was so difficult to get in and out of I gave up in the end before I broke something! We invited family to join us in the evening for a meal in The Twisted Boot, but the entire evening was spoiled by children running through the bar all evening despite us asking them to stop. Eventually the staff stepped in but it ruined our evening.
