Stunning grounds and a beautifully styled house. From beautiful bedding to gorgeous dinnerware, lots of touches of style and thought gone in to the interior design. Food was amazing!! We had two vegans in our party and the staff called us to check what we’d enjoy. Leaving it up to the chef we weren’t disappointed with the celeriac with crispy noodles - such a change from a plant burger or curry. Equally breakfast was fresh, plentiful and beautifully presented. The staff were warm friendly and helpful. Not only did we get a great recommendation to visit Newborough but I heard them giving specialist recommendations to a few guests. You might be speculating on the price - it’s not a cheap and cheerful hotel. If it appears a little above average that’s because everything here is outstanding. Average doesn’t exist here.

Glen and Greg were very communicative and helpful. They have lots of good connections and recommendations in town. They allowed us to check in at an earlier time and welcomed us upon arrival. The place is located between the beach and the harbour so you can have easy access to both. We stayed in the top floor overlooking the harbour. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The property looks so much better than the photos advertised. The booking also includes good breakfast options from the quayside bar which is a 3 minute walk from the house. We followed Greg and Glen’s recommendation to take the boat from Jurassic Rib rides to Lulworth cove in the am and then walked back from there to Weymouth. It was such an adventure. I would book this place again!

We were really impressed by the Stork. It was cosy, clean and freshly decorated (in our room, the corridors are clearly undergoing renovation) and the shower was super powerful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was great and nicely presented, and we loved how we could nip down to dinner in the evening and back up to bed. Couldn't have asked for more really! I'd recommend!

The one minor improvement I would suggest is that on arrival you are asked to sign a form without any explanation that asks quite strange questions e.g. "what is your nationality", "Do you agree to be responsible for your own safety" and "are you happy with the evacuation procedures" (or to that effect) without being shown any paperwork on such procedures. I was asked to just sign yes to this question and presumably it is because the hotel is not staffed overnight. I don't think you can really ask people to sign things without giving them the information they need, especially when it comes to personal safety. Also, we did think that table service could be a bit quicker at dinner time, the staff were really friendly but not the quickest at taking orders and bringing drinks etc.

Fantastic location, walking distance from everything you need. Clean and tidy plus the kids loved the castle bed in the room. Wonderful family run business with friendly owners who couldn’t have been more accommodating. Thanks so much for a wonderful bank holiday weekend.

The hotel is a short walk from West Jesmond metro station in a lovely residential area with a few shops and restaurants nearby. My single room was very comfortable and quiet. The reception staff were very welcoming.

It was an absolutely amazing stay. The view on Arthur's seat and sea from one of the bedrooms was stunning. The location is perfect, calm area, free parking and close location to Lidl.
