Presentation of the hotel was clean and crisp, but with old world charm in the bar. Room included a roll top bath and a separate shower and room had old furniture in keeping with the building. View over the front of the hotel looked onto the church and valley. Service was also very good as was the food quality

At £170, the room was a bit expensive for what it was and the breakfast was tasty but portion options were a little small.

Super location, easy parking. Comfortable, if stark, (white and bright) Huge bed, great sleeps! Well equipped kitchen from an appliance perspective. The walk-in shower was good. Lots of space. Good TV with all the channels/apps

Had we been staying longer and wanted to actually cook meals, kitchen equipment would need to be brought with us.

The location was superb. Views over a large lake, surrounded by a beautiful garden and wider, peaceful, countryside. The accommodation was spotless and well equiped. Hosts very welcoming and helpful re. local eating places.

The main bedroom got light very early at this time of year with the rooflight, but wouldn't prevent me booking again.

Position was great and staff were brilliant

No parking, room very small, no toiletries, in need of an update

It was very convenient for the airport

We were put into a disabled room for some reason, it was ok to have a bigger bathroom but didn’t like having to lean over to use the sink. Breakfast was very disappointing, there were vegan sausages but no meat ones, no fried eggs, the baked beans were cold, didn’t enjoy at all.

Location of hotel, Size of room.

No instructions on how to operate the air con, therefore the room was too hot. Paid additional sum for "party package" - 3 small balloons, 2 chocolate biscuits (there were 3 of us!) and a card isn't exactly saying "party" Balloons were on the floor by nightfall. Extremely disappointing 😠

Great looking old facade

Very tired, dirty, grubby rooms -we had to try five before they found a clean one for us. To be fair, there was a great mix of disappointment and they’d tried to make the decay in each room unique; from damp and fungus on the walls to unmade dirty beds and wall furnishings at broken jaunty angles. Our room even had a chimney outside that needed pointing so badly that a strong gust of wind could have had it join us in bed. Shower operation more complex than picking a safe. Assume you’ll be splashing scolding water at yourself rather than standing underneath. We didn’t dine at the hotel as our itinerary the following day didn’t lend itself to potential gastric distress
