Zack and other reception staff were great. Polite, efficient, and understanding. Especially Zack when i checked in with the way that he dealt with my deafness. Also helpful regards find a extension lead foe me. Bedroom was large and so was bed. Every part of the building shone. Decor was older in design but every step, hand rail, orpiment was spotless the same in the bedroom. There are far new hotels that are not as clean. Masses of free parking. Super Soft and massive towels. Loved them Beautiful location and view. Super well maintained, not a bulb out, not a screw missing. Shower was super hot and super powerful/

Flame restaurant was shut so food in bar. Not a issue Food I felt was adequate at best. When you get over cooked cold chips you do wonder. Bar was messy with virtually no tables clean but no customers at them either. I was disappointed to see two bar staff, a chef and member of the leisure team, standing and chatting for the entire length of time i had my meal (around 40 mins) whilst there were still a large number of tables that sat dirty. In addition customers sat with dirty plates and empty glasses on their table. Opportunities to clean and possible up sell a dessert or another drink on a quite night were not taken. Was not keen to see leisure team in what i perceived was a uniform, chatting ( not the issue ) with a unlight cigarette and pint of Guinness were the food was delivered to from the kitchen. They may have finished work but was hard to tell. Bid not feel that set the right tone. I found the bed very soft but others might like.

The slow service for the evening meal and a long wait for breakfast. We were also sat on the end of a 4 seater table (2 of us) and the roof was leaking onto the chair next to me. We were told someone was coming to fix it but there was nowhere else for us to sit.

I didn't realise when booking (my fault) that we did not have an ensuite bathroom. On rereading the description, it did read 'private' bathroom and not ensuite. Also, we had to park out on the road and pull suitcases quite a way round the building to get in. Fine for us but may be a bit tricky for someone less able. Minor niggles and we had a very comfortble stay.
