My mom and I got an unexpected upgrade and the room was beautiful and very clean. We loved that you could see the Avon and willow tree from our window. The staff were very friendly. We went to The George pub and the other one across the river and they were excellent- all in walking distance. A bus takes you to downtown Bath. ( bus stop is 4 walking minutes)

The facade, breakfast room and bar are a bit outdated, but those are minor cosmetic issues.

Breakfast was really good, service excellent and friendly. Garden was lovely, and it was great we had free onsite parking. Complentary wash products were nice and the shower was excellent. Loved the location and the check-in, check-out was very easy.

The room we had was on the second floor, kind of within the roof space. It was a little small, with a low ceiling and the bottom of the window started at floor level, making it difficult to see out of without crouching!

not long after checking in myself and my partner were in our room changing before dinner and the cleaners just walked into our room, despite the fact we were checked in, obviously as i was getting dressed i was very upset i was also displeased that you spend so much on a room to have to pay for parking at the property? you pay surely you get to use the amenities??

Pulled down the pullout bed and it was stained and dirty so could not use. No bedding left for this bed either. Contacted property but they didnt help with the dirty bed. Told to get the bedding out of cleaning cupboard. Couldn’t find the cupboard key for ages. It was lodged in a folder. Only staying for 3 nights, manager was due to call me after 3pm on the last day. (She failed to call the day before as she had promised). So decided to relocate by then. I needed to sleep in a bed. The fact i had no proper bed seemed lost on the property management. The property would have been good if the cleaning issues were sorted first day. Sending cleaners in on last day wasnt helpful. Shower was scolding. Couldnt find a way of cooling it down. 3 of us tried.
