The only way to leave a review is to first make a booking. That's how we know our reviews come from real guests who have stayed at the property.

When guests stay at the property they check out how quiet the room is, how friendly the staff are and more.

After their trip, guests tell us about their stay. We check for naughty words and verify the authenticity of all guest reviews before adding them to our site.

Great communication in advance of our stay. Very friendly and helpful reception. Strong gate secures a small parking area (£10 charge applies). Nice area with good public transport links - close to the Northern line tube and buses. It suited us well for a gig at the O2 in Brixton.

Slightly tricky to drive in & out off the High Street, given a heavy gate secures the property. However, the heavy gate is also a strength if you are after secure parking.

The location was good, the hotel was pretty clean (no visible issues), the room was spacious and the heating was working really well. Half of the staff members we've interacted with were nice. The elevators were functional.

I'm going to start by saying I've never slept on such uncomfortable beds. Ever. It felt like sleeping on rocks, or on the floor. Please be careful if you're dealing with back pain, these will make it worse. At one point I felt like I couldn't breathe because of all the tension in my back (I woke up in the middle of the night). The second worst thing is that there is no free WiFi in the rooms. If you're coming from the EU, make sure you have a decent data plan which includes the UK. Otherwise, you'll have to pay 7 GBP/24h/device (yes, PER DEVICE!). There's no deal if you pay for more days. The area of the hotel is not the safest, even though it's the city centre. I knew this when I booked, I used to live in Coventry/Earlsdon. It is convenient for the bus station/interchange/Pool Meadow, and all the restaurants nearby. The staff could've been a bit nicer/less bored. There was a stew smell in the corridors at all times (which got extra heavy when mixed with the fresh paint smell). Another inconvenience was the unintuitive shower switch. Overall, it's a really dated hotel. Sometimes, this can be charming. In this case, it really wasn't.

Restaurant very easily able to adapt all food to meet requirements of customers with dietary disabilities as well as those whose lifestyle choices can be demanding. Staff very caring and friendly.

There was an additional £10 added to the room booking for "room selection"

Very cute room which is in great location. Breakfast was best we had. The eggs Benedict was so delicious. The host was so friendly and helpful. She gave us some great suggestions for places to go.
