Positive section of review
The fixtures and fittings were good quality and the room had been decorated nicely. The cutlery and crockery were an eclectic mix which added the charm of the property and the host had added nice touches like chocolates, mints, and the usual tea / coffee, etc… A coffee percolator was available as a nice touch. Breakfast items were provided and we cooked croissants and cinnamon rolls from frozen, which were nice, and there was jam and marmalade provided. The electric shower took a bit of time to work out, but it was good and hot when we did. WiFi was strong and the TV had the normal mix of freeview channels. The host was lovely and we had a nice chat in the morning as we left. Overall a good stay.

The sofa bed was OK, although not as comfortable as expected, but we still slept. From my perspective, there’s space in the room for a more permanent bed - the room is the size of a hotel room, so a double bed a a couple of smallarm chairs might work.

Friendly helpful staff, location in a quiet welsh coal mining town. The room was good, but no WiFi signal in the room. Really good breakfast included.
