This is an old property, which oozes charm. Set in an idyllic location, with the quaint village to one side, (with a superb pub/restaurant 5 mins walk away) and rolling fields and fishing lakes to the other, it is the perfect location to unwind and recharge. We stayed in Katrina’s room, which was large, with a super comfy king size bed, en-suite bathroom with roll top bath and corner shower. It has everything you need within it, and views overlooking the fisheries, fields and gardens. The rest of the house is filled with beautiful furniture, and has such a relaxed atmosphere. The owner, Sue, is the perfect host. She met us upon arrival, and we were provided with coffee and cake. She also makes the most delicious cooked breakfasts. We stayed for three nights at this property, and will certainly be returning.

Absolutely nothing - it was perfect!

The location was fantastic- within walking distance of the city but not crowded with parking available on site. The hosts were friendly and understanding, adding to the personality of the inn. The room itself was clean, aesthetic and had plug sockets placed in convenient locations. Although we did not make use of the terrace, it was available. Breakfast was delicious with a buffet for cold items and hot options available to order.

Accommodation was nicely appointed. The room afforded privacy. The en-suite was a wet room. The shower was very good as was accessibility however as it was a wet room the whole floor got wet. We were worried about treading wet feet onto the bedroom carpet. Breakfast was taken at the farm shop down the road from the accommodation at an extra cost. Booking was necessary but done my our hosts.

The room was a little chilly. In the winter the heating would need to be on more.

I went for my wedding anniversary. Location was perfect so quiet. Venue is absolutely fantastic especially the grounds. Food was worth going. Can’t get food like that for the money we paid anywhere else. Can’t wait to book again 😊

Breakfast took a long time and server could've been more attentive. Toast and hash browns were a tad burnt.

I liked the location and the view. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and large.

There were dirty footsteps in the bathroom (not from us) and when we complained to staff they apologised but nothing was done.
